about kusali:

i was born in 1971. i have always enjoyed music for as long as i can remember. i first became interested in wanting to play an instrument after hearing the oxygene by jean michel jarre in the peter weir film "galipolli". this started my interests in electronic sounds & synthesis, however, at this time i was unable to afford the expensive synthesisers of the time. only wishing i could & still owning them maybe i could now sell them & retire.....?

anyway, upon hearing the sounds of eddie van halen, steve vai & brett garsed, jamie became interested in guitar (which was a more affordable instrument). i took this up with a passion.....hoping one day i could become a rock lord! at this time i felt lucky to have a part-time job at a music store, here i was exposed to many different musicians & many different styles of music.

to be a full-time musician could be a difficult way to make a living, after talking some musician friends & family, i decided to study nursing to have a job i could fall back on in case music didn't work. plus it was a job i could always travel with. so the rock lord ambitions were put on hold, so were the vinyl pants.....un/fortunately the rock lord ambitions have remained on hold (now retired), maybe commonsense prevailed?it's hard to be a rock lord wen you are actually introverted.

never losing my interest in playing guitar listening to lots of music (in varying styles) & buying too many cds (is that possible?) i spent several years working part-time as registered nurse in palliative care & psychiatry, back-packing & doing volunteer work in india, studying herbal medicine & astrology, & eventually practicing as a herbalist.

harboring creative ambitions
i have recently invested in a small home studio & started recording my many musical ideas. in between working as a palliative care nurse, doing web designs, meditating, attending buddhist teachings, watching dvds, i can be found tinkering on many of my instruments searching for elusive sounds........
