(sanskrit): a meditator or ascetic who has
forgone the conventional life to pursue spiritual
awareness.
kusali is the
moniker of musician jamie fitzpatrick.
residing on the south coast of nsw, australia. jamie likes to explore rich electronic soundscapes with the sounds of organic instruments added in for good measure. drawing on diverse influences of blues, jazz, classical, country, world & folk music, this end product is a melting pot of introspective & textured sounds with nuances of melody.
the instrumentation may sometimes be the solo sounds of a national guitar to a lap steel playing with luscious sounding strings & glitchy electronic sounds.
in between working as a palliative care nurse, & designing web pages for tibetan rinpoches, & friends. kusali is presently working on his debut album.....stay tuned.
